1860 Farthing

The 1860 British farthing is of two main types. The first type has an outer circle of round beads on the obverse and reverse.

The second type has a toothed outer circle around the obverse and reverse.

A type also exists which is a mule of the two types - the obverse has a toothed border, but the reverse has a beaded border. This example is certified PCGS AU50 and is considered extremely rare by Peck.
